WASHINGTON CROSSING FOUNDATION ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY

This web portal, including any subsite accessible through the homepage, (collectively, the "Site") is published and maintained by the Washington Crossing Foundation ("WCF"), a private, non-profit 501c(3) corporation, located in Bristol, Pennsylvania. What follows is WCF's online privacy policy, which governs Personal Information gathered on our Site. COMMITMENT TO ONLINE SECURITY:

Physical, electronic and managerial procedures have been employed to safeguard the security and integrity of Personal Information (defined below). Donation information is encrypted whenever transmitted or received online. Personal Information is accessible only by staff or volunteers of WCF designated and trained to handle such information. All agents and contractors of WCF with access to Personal Information obtained on our Site are bound to adhere to this policy as well. To protect the security of confidential information exchanged via our Site, all individual users with access to such information are provided distinct user names and passwords for access.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

Definition:
WCF may collect the following Personal Information via our Site: individual and business/employer names, postal and e-mail addresses, phone, mobile phone, and fax numbers, and financial transaction (e.g. credit card) information. WCF may also collect business-related information from sole proprietorships, some of which likely constitutes Personal Information, as well as Personal Information from individuals acting solely in their business capacity.

At no time does WCF collect or maintain any information from individuals actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of our Site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not access the Site.

Use of Information:
Unless you consent, we will not use your Personal Information for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted. We use Personal Information to reply to inquiries, provide operational notices, and in member, volunteer, donor, or scholarship applicant record-keeping activities. We also process donations and related requests, whether such activity occurs through our Site or through other channels. At certain points where Personal Information is collected on our Site, there may be a box where you may indicate you would like to be on a list to receive information about programs, events, initiatives and news from WCF.

Sharing of Information:
WCF will never sell, rent, or otherwise make available Personal Information submitted by applicants for our National Scholarship awards program other than in an announcement of each year's winners which may contain, without waiver, the names, hometowns, current schools, and anticipated colleges of those selected.

Regarding all other users of the site, WCF will never sell or rent Personal Information to third parties without your explicit consent via either: An election box on our Site indicating your specific desire to share Personal Information with third-parties along with a designation of specific Personal Information you wish to share and not to share; or Our receipt of email, postal mail, or fax communication directly from you authorizing WCF to provide your personal information to named third-parties.

WCF may also release Personal Information to appropriate governmental authorities under the following circumstances: Where release is required by force of law or regulation or is requested by a government agency conducting investigations or proceedings; Where our records indicate fraudulent, deceptive, or other criminal practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of; or Where your communication suggests possible harm to others.

Corrections and Changes:
At any time you can add or remove your name, change your privacy and communication preferences, and correct factual errors in your Personal Information by sending a request that contains your request and credibly indicates your identity to WCF at admin@gwcf.org. To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

COMPUTER TRACKING & COOKIES:

Our web Site is not set up to track, collect or distribute Personal Information not entered by visitors. Our Site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying Site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our Site. This information is used for internal purposes by WCF's technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others, but such statistics contain no Personal Information and cannot be used to gather Personal Information.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. WCF may use non-identifying cookies to provide easier Site navigation and access to forms. You can still use our Site if your browser is set to reject cookies. Our cookies do not generate Personal Information, do not read Personal Information from your machine, and are never tied to any data that could be used to identify you.
